How I teach
I start with what the student understands and where they get stuck. We use explanations, drawings, and guided practice to make the next step clear. Students learn to explain their choices, check their work, and decide what to try next—with increasing independence.
Lesson rates
The hourly rates below are the base lesson fees. Travel is charged separately for lessons at your home.
At your home? Add travel.
+$20 per visit in addition to the lesson fee.
+$10 per visit on or very close to Mercer Island.
Online lessons have no travel charge.
For example: one hour of high school tutoring is $75 online, $85 at a home on Mercer Island, or $95 at a home elsewhere.
